South Korea was the fastest developing country in the world. From a GDP close to a third-world country in the 60s, South Korea was ranked 15th among the largest world economies in 2012. Thanks to its desire to produce high quality products at a competitive price, South Korea was able to show off its assets and create its country brand image.
Following the positive trade between the European Union and South Korea, a bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA) was signed in July 2011. This agreement aims at developing commercial transactions between these two regions and involves the termination of tariff barriers such as import taxes.
Sourcing in Korea involves challenges as much as opportunities and it is the goal to identify these opportunities and guide customers through the process, to manage risks, to reduce costs, to secure transactions and to optimize the logistics all the way from Korea to the company.

Team 10: European Beer, Anheuser Busch InBev
The European Union is the second largest beer producer
in the world. The beer sector makes a substantial contribution to the overall
European trade balance. There are a number of sectors which supply the European
beer industry. Workers in those sectors are also considered working in the
production of beer. Per capita consumption of beer in Europe varies greatly by
country, and it is influenced by whether countries typically have a beer- or
wine-drinking tradition. The distribution of beer is divided into On-trade and
Off-trade. The distribution of beer to pubs, clubs, and restaurants is called
On-trade. On the other hand, products that can be purchased at supermarkets,
department stores, and hypermarkets are called Off-trade

To make the beer brand easier to understand, it is
better to describe the types of beer, two major types in the beer are ALE and
LAGER. The decisive factor in the distinction between ale and lager is yeast. The
Yeast used for the ale is fermented at a high temperature of 15°C to 18°C, and
yeast used for the lager is fermented at a low temperature of 7°C to 12°C, and
the location of fermentation in the liquor barrel is also different. The high
temperature fermented yeast acts on the surface of the liquid, and the low
temperature fermented yeast acts on the bottom. So the ale is called 'Top Fermentation
Beer' and lager is called 'bottom Fermentation Beer'.
